We knew in advance of our Thursday night group dinner we would have extra food due to reservation changes. We collaborated with the restaurant, Rosewater, and they held back and did not cook the portions we knew would not be consumed. Friday morning they cooked it and we delivered it to the neighborhood fire station. They were grieving the loss of a firefighter in Raleigh. We were thankful to Mary Erickson’s husband Jacque for the idea! He is in the photo below with my husband John and the firefighters. The Centerpiece Gallery marketing team helped us connect to them and came to take photos too.
